  1. Excellent book. I have many books on digital photography and this book ranks very high. Excellent work flow recommendations and clearly written. This book will also be used as a reference text in a photography course I will be taking. I have almost completed reading the entire book and making notes.

  2. Before you waste one more sheet of printing paper, before you waste another minute with scanning and color management, before you waste another second with a bad workflow … get this book. You will save the price of it in one week just in paper and ink alone. And maybe you will keep your sanity. This is bedtime reading, coffee shop reading, and “lightroom” reading. It is well written, well printed, and straightforward. I have followed George DeWolfe’s suggested workflow to the letter, and it works! Don’t buy another book until you have this one, and have read it two or three times.

  3. Too much emphasis is being made on the technology of digital photography, and even on the mechanics of taking pictures. Just as important is the artistic factor, which is often not even addressed in books that teach Photoshop. This book is an exception. You’ll learn how to adjust the feeling and artistic approach of an image to create photographic art out of a simple digital photograph. If you want to learn more about the aesthetics of creating a digital image, this book is for you.

  4. I recommend this book for advanced photoshop users and photographers. It lacks a lot of in between information, but I still enjoy the book and have learned a lot. George DeWolfe is an outstanding photographer and we can learn so much from ones like him. If your new at photoshop and want to learn photographic work flow easily, the book I recommend is “Photoshop Artistry for photographers using CS2 and Beyond” By Barry Haynes. This book is based on his workshops and explains things in real simple terms. Barry Haynes writes articles for Photo Techniques Magazine, this is where I learned about his books and workshop.

  5. I have taken the workshop from George when this book was first published. Both greatly enhanced my photography. More specifically George shows you an easy way to create a workflow, essential for us traditional film photographers. I have also worked in the field with George and he practices what he preaches as it relates to the techniques in this book. This is a great book, read it study it, and read it again as I have. It will only make you a better photographer!
