“It ain’t braggin’ if you can do it”–and David Tipling clearly is a professional who can! More importantly, Tipling freely shares his knowledge and encourages the reader to get the most out of today’s digital photography technology. He laces the text with easily understood explanations and helpful tips as he works through the process from selecting the best equipment for one’s purposes to the final editing and publication of the finished images. He reveals “secrets” of successful wildlife photography that most professionals would hold close to the vest. Refreshingly, he also includes several notes regarding the ethics of capturing and publishing images. A great read and an especially useful tutorial that significantly enhanced my recent photo-safari to southern Tanzania! I would recommend this book as essential preparation for any such adventure.
