I thought the picture quality would be a lot higher. I guess the images that looked great on my computer monitor, didn’t quite “shine” on this frame. They were even a bit too light, and some of the tones seemed to wash out. I returned it, and am trying another frame that has slightly higher resolution.

This Sony digital frame is one of the best I’ve bought. But it’s bigger brother (10″) is the one I just love. It’s expensive but the most versatile and the bigger picture is outstanding.

After looking for a Valentine’s gift, I bought this frame for my wife and she’s very satisfied, all pictures, edited or not run without problems.

Highly satisfied with the product. Picture quality is great. I even scanned some old prints and create jpg of them. These were displayed quite well inspite of the conversion. Setup and menu instructions were easy to follow, but consider myself tech savvy. Might take someone less technical a bit more time, but nothing so complicated that would stop anyone from getting it to work. I agree with other reviews that in random mode some pictures seem to display more than others but that may just be my imagination. Some functions on the remote are not working and still trying to figure that out. They might not be valid in certain conditions. The function to switch the picture from portrait to landscape just causes the remote to beep, yet this works fine when the frame is flipped. These are minor. Overall I would give this frame an excellent rating.

I purchased the Sony DPF-D82 after doing a bit of research on digital frames on the web. I am extremely pleased with the unit. It works as advertised and its functions are very well thought out. I especially like the combination calendar, clock and picture theme. It is well worth its purchase price and I highly recommend it.
