All it is a small piece of foam rapped in some green synthetic cloth and a lanyard. You could really make your own by buying a cheap piece of foam and connecting it to your camera via string. I would not recommend, just an expensive piece of low density material.

A little bright and bulky for everyday use. But this works GREAT for all underwater purposes. I can rest assured if the camera got away from me, I would be able to spot it no problem and it would be on the surface. Recommended.

This is a nice float-strap for waterproof cameras, but it is HUGE! Don’t plan on leaving this thing attached to the camera when you’re not expecting to be in the water. I will not question its floatability and the bright color means it won’t disappear from sight, but it’s over-large. I guess when compared to other float straps(?), it will do its duty without question.

I used the strap whenever I used the camera in the water. It does keep the camera afloat which could save it from the depths of destruction of the camera. I did remove it when I would use the camera out of the water since it is bulky. It is worth having whenever in deep water.
